Research summary
He is establishing a laboratory focused on the development of novel bio-inspired nanoplatforms for the diagnosis and treatment of local inflammation in diseases such as sepsis, rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, and cancer. My work follows an interdisciplinary approach to generate synergy among chemistry, nanotechnology, bioengineering, surface analysis and cell biology in order to radically improve the potency of small molecules, biopharmaceuticals and contrast agents.
